Jeff Bezos' Penthouse - 5 floors of luxury on Fifth Avenue
I continue to introduce you to the homes of the world's richest people. Today, under Sunday morning coffee, a story about Joseph Bezos' penthouse.
The stylish neo-Gothic building at 212 Fifth Avenue in New York City is now firmly associated with the name of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
In 2019, Bezos bought a three-level penthouse in this house with the pathos-tinged name "The Crown." He paid $60 million for it.
The penthouse occupies the top three floors of the house. Its area is 930 meters plus 530 meters of terrace. A real luxury for dense New York City.
Inside the penthouse there are 5 bedrooms, a living room with fireplace and grand piano, a master suite of as many as seven rooms with two walk-in closets and two baths. The bath has direct views of the Empire State. On the upper level is the observatory.
Along with the penthouse, Bazos immediately bought two apartments directly below it. Then two more apartments one floor below. After combining all the purchased lots, the interior living space will be 1600 meters. And the total cost is $119 million.
Bezos is now renovating to combine all the apartments into one mega penthouse. Last summer, Fifth Avenue was shut down. A big crane came in. Workers were lifting a cloth-wrapped mystery object upstairs. A grand piano? Jacuzzi?
Put together a selection of photos for you of what a Penhouse looks like on the inside. In 2020, Bezos set an all-time Los Angeles record when he bought the Warner Bros. founder's posh Beverly Hills estate for $165 million. If you ask me, I'll write about him, too.
