The Metro Will Be Extended to Skolkovo
The Moscow Metro continues to expand toward the innovation hub. Sergey Sobyanin announced the extension of the line to “Skolkovo.” Nearly 12 kilometers of new track will connect four districts of the capital. Five stations will open along the line: “Vereyskaya,” “Skolkovskoye Shosse,” “Marfino,” “Skolkovo,” and “Medical Center.”
Analysts predict that property prices in the Mozhaisk district will rise by 20–30%. The trend is already evident—over the past year, new construction in this area has risen in price by 23%.
Near the future “Vereyskaya” station, developer MR is building two residential complexes—“Veer” and “SET.” According to forecasts, the metro’s opening will raise the value of these projects by more than a third.
Transportation isn’t the only driver of price and demand growth. Strong science, technology, and medical clusters are taking shape in the area. Schools, sports complexes, and restaurants are opening, and pedestrian boulevards are being built. The Mozhaisky District is increasingly being cited as one of the most promising locations on Moscow’s investment map.
