The “RiverSky” Complex
quote
From the side of the Moskva River, the buildings with their staircase-like arrangement of glossy milky-beige panels do indeed look bulky and massive.
The architects intended to visually lighten the tops of the towers with light-colored panels, but it seems to have had the opposite effect: the upper section looks gray and heavy due to complex reflections and a grid of thick, dark crossbeams.
Up close, the architecture looks better, although there’s a sense that they went overboard with the number of techniques, materials, and types of masonry. Here, there are clinker bricks and tiles, porcelain stoneware, stematite, glass-fiber-reinforced concrete, and aluminum and copper panels.
There’s three-dimensional 3D brickwork, perforations, ornaments, grilles, geometric patterns, designs on glass, and even Art Deco motifs. It’s a real mishmash.
Eight buildings are grouped into two clusters, with a pedestrian boulevard running between them toward the river. The towers are positioned at an angle to the riverfront to preserve scenic vistas between them.
The landscaping was done by the Wowhaus team. The result is a classic courtyard garden: greenery, relaxation areas, and a central plaza with fountains. It’s decent, but nothing particularly remarkable.
There are currently 44 apartments for sale at “Cyan.” Prices range from ₽32 million to ₽78 million. The average price per square meter is ₽730k. But almost all of these are resale units with finished interiors on the waterfront. The location is decent. The Danilov Monastery is nearby. The waterfront has reopened following its renovation. The “Torpedo” Stadium.
It was difficult to take photos of the project. I couldn’t find any good angles.
