"Chagall" - A Quarter for those in love with the river
One of my goals is to shoot all the iconic projects and locations in the cities where Whitewill sells real estate. Through photo stories, I try to capture the atmosphere and architectural details of these locations to help our clients find the right place to live or invest.
On the first sunny day of fall, I stopped by my buddy's house at «Nau» at Technopark. We walked along the embankment, and then got on a river streetcar and took a ride along the Moskva River. I took photos from the water first of «Nau» and then of «Chagall» with «Zilart».
Passing by «Chagal», I wrote to my team: «Can I stop by now to see the complex?». In ten minutes I was coordinated a meeting with the manager of «Etalon». For almost an hour at sunset he took us around the different buildings of this large-scale project. I took pictures of facades and courtyards in the rays of the setting autumn sun.
In total there will be nine queues — a real city within a city. Several thousand families will find their new home on the peninsula surrounded by beautiful embankments, which Sergei Semyonovich is building at an increased pace.
In «Chagall» several buildings of the first phase have already been delivered. I got in and photographed the second phase as well. The lobbies are not finished there yet, but I found it more interesting in terms of floors and architecture. It will also be in this article.
The architecture of the low-rise buildings of the first phase resembles an amphitheater, assembled from light-colored blocks that grow upwards in steps. These are not the usual boxes, but a lively play of volumes. The sun lays on the facades and colors them in peach or golden shades.
The accent houses of the first line are something like eastern terraced cities — like an echo of Marrakech, where the houses are overlaid on top of each other, creating a tiered fabric. Each level becomes a platform for living: a terrace or a balcony.
In the lobby, productologists «Etalon» put bright green chairs against a background of gray and white stone. Bar counters. Interesting light. In general, it looks nice.
Only strange inserts from artificial grass recessed in the floor confused. This is a controversial decision — you have to either bypass them or step over them. They do not add aesthetics. On one of the photos from the lobby I specially photographed a piece of such a lawn.
«Chagall». The second phase. The realm of arches.
The second phase of «Chagall» is almost ready, but still enclosed by a construction fence. «We don't take visitors there yet», — said the manager of «Etalon», saying goodbye.
He left, and I decided to walk along the fence with my iPhone, taking pictures of the beautiful light-colored facades with arched windows. I walked for about ten minutes along the stretching grid, when suddenly the fence ended. A deserted wide boulevard with flowerbeds and jogging paths opened up in front of me. With fully built houses, but no people. Apparently it was assumed that no one would come here through the construction dust.
I looked around. Not a soul. Seventh hour of the evening. Clear sky with an orange and blue gradient. The sun is slipping toward sunset. Thought I didn't want to miss this golden hour and stepped onto the forbidden boulevard.
Architecturally, the second phase seemed brighter and more modern to me.
Rhythmic arched openings set the rhythm and as if nostalgic for the classics, but in a completely modern way, without excessive decorativeness, through clean lines and repetitive modules.
Arch is now in Moscow architects almost the main method of "appreciation" of the external appearance of the building.
Dark brick buildings add austerity and weight to the neighborhoods. The play of light and dark, vertical and horizontal forms a feeling of goodness and urban coziness.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw an open lobby in one of the buildings. I hesitated for a second. and went inside.
High ceilings, white-washed space, spectacular arches and a glowing elevator portal. Everything is practically ready, even the greenery and furniture is in place, just not unpacked yet.
I walked around the empty streets some more and walked out of the fenced-in neighborhood, with the feeling that I had seen something that others hadn't seen yet. A hundred construction workers had gathered outside one of the buildings and were taking group selfies.
What do you think of the neighborhood atmosphere?
