“Le Dom”—Luxury on the “Golden Mile”
One of my goals is to shoot all the iconic projects and locations in the cities where Whitewill sells real estate. Through photo stories, I try to capture the atmosphere and architectural details of these locations to help our clients find the right place to live or invest.
I climbed the steps to the upper plaza near Christ the Savior Cathedral and saw it—"Le Dom." Beautiful, stylish, but not quite finished yet.
I had to spend some time choosing angles and framing the shots so that the scaffolding wouldn’t appear in the frame and the building would look as finished as possible.
I’m especially proud of the shots from Soimonovsky Passage, taken with a long zoom toward the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Because of the compressed perspective, the cathedral seems to be right up against the house.
The architecture of “Le Dom” was designed by French architect Dominique Ertenberger of the firm “Paris Classical Architecture.” The design blends several styles: antiquity, Empire, Romanticism, and Art Deco.
Handcrafted brick, natural stone, copper details, large wooden windows, arches, and intricately sculpted facades. The result is a modern, solid French classic in the heart of Moscow, priced at ₽5 million per square meter.
I’ll definitely be back to see the lobby and the indoor French garden once one of the most expensive and sought-after buildings on the Golden Mile is finished.
