A Visit to Messi's Home: The Soccer Star's $10 Million Mansion
A few months after joining Inter Miami, Lionel Messi bought a house in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The deal was finalized in September 2023.
Messi and Antonela paid $10.7 million. The previous owners had purchased the mansion 1.5 years earlier for $9 million and made a 20% profit on the resale.
The house is located in a private gated community on an island with 24-hour security. There are a total of 100 homes in the community, each with its own waterfront access.
Messi’s house has a total area of 970 m². Two living rooms. Eight bedrooms. An office. A gym with a spa area. A pool with a hot tub.
The 150-square-meter master suite functions as a separate apartment within the house: a bedroom, a lounge area, a large walk-in closet, a bathroom, and access to the terrace.
The interiors were designed by Canadian designer Lori Morris. She is known for her theatrical style: a black-and-white color palette, gold accents, mirrors, large chandeliers, and intricately shaped furniture.
In the center of the living room stands a huge white sofa next to a black upholstered wall. The foyer features gold furniture, blue glass, and giant floral arrangements. The bedroom features pink velvet and golden walls. Even a surfboard has been turned into a decorative piece bearing the “Chanel” logo.
