Sculpture Park at the “MOD” Residential Complex
A sculpture park has opened in MR Group’s “MOD” residential complex, continuing the concept of integrating art into the urban environment. Now, while out for a walk, residents can experience beauty firsthand.
The park features works by Viktor Korneev, Alexander Povzner, Aidan Salakhova, Vadim Sidur, Olga and Oleg Tatarintsevs, Sasha Frolova, Boris Cherstvoy, and Igor Shelkovsky. Their works explore themes of humanity, time, memory, and imagination.
Vadim Sidur’s “Girl Combing Her Hair,” from the series “The Feminine Principle,” is dedicated to human vulnerability and the power of life. Alexander Povzner presented the work “Pool,” which explores familiar images and their perception in space.
Sasha Frolova’s “Cloud of Desires” is made of polished steel: its mirrored surface reflects the water, the sky, and the surrounding architecture, changing depending on the viewing angle and lighting.
Another notable work is the four-meter sculpture by Olga and Oleg Tatarintsevs. This massive piece consists of repeating elements whose surfaces shift in hue from bright blue to nearly black. The sculpture appears different depending on the lighting.
An audio guide will help you explore the exhibition. It provides information about the artists and their works, and each visitor can follow the route through the park at their own pace. The organizers are also preparing a guided tour program, the schedule for which will be published later.
“MOD” is located on 4th Street in Maryina Roscha. The architectural concept was developed by the firm “Kleinwelt Architekten.” The project comprises three towers ranging from 44 to 55 stories and two clubhouses. The facades of the high-rise buildings are clad in natural stone.
The stylobate features areas designed for walking, relaxation, and socializing, as well as a plaza for events.Families will appreciate the educational center with a preschool. Retail spaces will open on the ground floors, and cars can be conveniently parked in the underground parking garage.
