The Most Harmonious Neighborhoods in Moscow
At the public talk “Gals Dialogues: Feng Shui of the Big City,” philosopher and sinologist Bronislav Vinogrodsky discussed which areas of Moscow are the most harmonious from a feng shui perspective.
The Whitewill team attended the event organized by “Gals-Development.” The discussion was moderated by host and blogger Ida Galich.
According to Bronislaw Vinogrodsky, when choosing real estate, it’s important to evaluate not only the apartment itself but also the entire surrounding area—the building’s location, the neighborhood’s characteristics, the architecture, and the layout.
Feng shui also offers more specific recommendations:
— The front door should not be aligned with a window or a balcony door—it is believed that, in such cases, energy passes through the apartment and leaves it immediately.
— Doors located directly opposite each other create too abrupt a flow of energy.
— It is best to position the bed so that the entrance is visible from it, but it is not directly opposite the door. The headboard should be placed against a solid wall, not a window.
— The east and southeast are traditionally associated with growth and renewal; however, the most favorable orientations for windows and rooms are determined on a case-by-case basis.
— Apartments with a regular shape are preferable—without cut-off corners, long narrow hallways, or complicated passageways.
