"Donstroy" to Expand "Ostrov"
Another residential neighborhood will be built in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain as part of the “Ostrov” development. The Moscow Urban Planning Commission has approved its construction on a 4.5-hectare site, which will accommodate 92,500 m² of real estate.
The new neighborhood will be located between the “Mnevniki” metro station and Nizhnye Mnevniki Street. “SZ Epokha,” a subsidiary of “Donstroy,” began designing the project back in May. At that time, the developer did not disclose the details of the future development.
The new neighborhood will likely be the 11th in the “Ostrov” complex: currently, the numbering skips from 10 directly to 12 and 14.
“Ostrov” is being developed on the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain near the Moskva River and a nature park. The neighborhood features a school, shops, cafes, and sports facilities, including the “Navka Arena” and the Academy of the Future. For residents’ walks and recreation, the area features landscaped embankments, walking trails, and green courtyards.
