New Residential Complex on Bolshaya Pirogovskaya
A luxury residential complex with 348 apartments and 200 parking spaces may be built on the site of the former dormitories of the Institute of Red Professors at 51 Bolshaya Pirogovskaya Street. Vesper acquired the property this summer but has not yet announced its plans.
The main question is what will happen to the existing buildings. Their stepped shape resembles a saw. In 2025, the architectural firm “Bureau 2+2” presented a design for eight buildings 12–13 stories tall. Later, renderings appeared showing the preservation of the old structures with residential additions in the form of capsules.
The buildings lost their cultural heritage status in the mid-2000s. Now the developer faces a choice: preserve the unusual architecture or completely renovate the complex.
If you’re looking for an apartment in Moscow, we recommend taking a closer look at the “Vesper” projects:
• “Levenson” on Trekhprudny Lane, surrounded by historic architecture and the iconic landmarks of Patriarch’s Ponds. Its intimate scale and proximity to restaurants and cultural venues make this project appealing to those who want to live right in the heart of Moscow.
• “Vesper Kutuzovsky” is ideal for those who value privacy and green surroundings without sacrificing urban comforts. The private park will be a place for walks and relaxation, while the fitness club and children’s play areas will complement the everyday amenities.
