“Ridge” is a premium development by Strana Development on the site of the former Riga Freight Yard, between the Rizhskaya and Maryina Roscha neighborhoods. The area is gradually becoming the capital’s “second center”: the estates and side streets where Chekhov and Gilyarovsky once lived have been preserved, and new infrastructure is springing up alongside the historic buildings.
The architecture of the “Ridge” Residential Complex was designed by the KAMEN architectural firm: a low-rise section with four stories, mid-rise buildings ranging from 12 to 26 stories, and high-rise towers up to 69 stories, are united by a ring-shaped structure—the geometry of the buildings protects residents’ privacy and shields the area from city noise.
Residents of the “Ridge” Residential Complex have access to a grand lobby with a reception desk, a concierge service, and a private area—the coworking space is suitable for business meetings and remote work, while the children’s room provides supervised care while parents are busy. The three-hectare courtyard is car-free and landscaped, with a playground available for children. The rooftop level features a running track and a lounge-greenhouse, and at a height of 250 meters is a usable rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of Moscow. The underground parking garage includes charging stations for electric vehicles, with storage rooms for seasonal items nearby.
The complex comprises four sections and 1,994 apartments of three types: studios, classic layouts, and convertible apartments—ranging in size from 28 to 109 square meters. The apartments are sold either unfinished or with a pre-finish, so residents typically postpone renovations until they have their own design plans in place.
It’s a 2-minute walk to the “Rizhskaya” metro station, 7 minutes to the “Mar’ina Roscha” metro station and the Rizhskaya MCD station — 7 minutes; to the Third Transport Ring (TTK) by car — 1 minute; to the Garden Ring — 7 minutes; to the Moscow City business district — 15 minutes. Tsvetnoy Boulevard is a 35-minute walk away. The neighborhood is on the rise: new metro stations are opening nearby, which only enhances the location’s accessibility.
The project is being completed in phases: the first building, “Ridge GP-1,” is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2030; completion dates for subsequent phases of the complex will be specified as sales begin.
