One agency's journey
"This is a book about the story of the creation and life of one extraordinary real estate agency. When I started writing it, I didn't know how it would turn out and what the final chapter would be about, because the company has not passed into history, but is working, developing, making mistakes and winning right now, while you are reading these lines. Our real estate experts continue to close deals and make a difference in clients' lives, programmers are creating new online portals, and designers are designing catalogs.
The real estate agency the book is about is called Whitewill, and my name is Oleg. I'm the founder. Competitors in behind-the-scenes discussions usually use only my last name - Torbosov.
"Make me like Torbosov" is a phrase that website designers and digital marketers have heard many times in meetings over the past few years from the owners of various real estate agencies. "Torbosov published a new sales report, did you read it?" - two brokeresses from Moscow's elite agencies discuss over a Friday evening cocktail.
In this book I will tell you how I, a man far from the world of elite real estate, managed in a few years from scratch to build an agency, which in the fourth year of life became the leader in real estate sales in a large metropolis in its segment
All the brokers, executives and companies that will be encountered in the pages of the book are alive. Well, or almost all of them. Therefore, I will change most of the names and titles so as not to create unnecessary questions and experiences in the lives of the characters. As they say, all characters are fictional, all coincidences are coincidental."
A beginning has been made. I'm writing my second book, One Agency's Way. It will be a frank, sharp, interesting story about how we built and developed Whitewill, how the elite real estate market is organized and what values live, about brokers and the internal kitchen of agencies, about the intrigues of competitors, about good and bad developers, about human vices and ingenious intrigues, about sales in high checks, effective marketing, the psychology of transactions and customer service.
