Whitewill Awards - Corporate Media of the Year 2018
It is the fourth week of my living and studying in America. I live in a hotel attached to our Academy, and this is where I got the idea to publish my magazine about life and real estate in the City 1.5 years ago.
My hr-director set up interviews with the editors-in-chief and I conducted them via Skype. By the time I returned to Moscow, the first issue of the magazine was already finalized and ready for printing.
Next week we have the 8th New Year's issue coming out. After about 2-3 issues, when magazine stands started appearing all over the City, in towers and restaurants, we got followers.
- Oleg, look another new magazine has appeared in the City," Mark, our advertising and integration manager, said to me with a smile as he held out another edition.
- What's this, the fourth one already? - I asked him with an equally easy smile.
In the picture below our magazine is a stack of new city editions. I'm sure you haven't even heard of them. Many of them are structured and laid out like Whitewill.
Magazines and newspapers appear, come out once or twice, and are gone forever. I understand them. Editorials created on the emotion and vanity of a sponsoring publisher who puts his brooding picture in the publisher's column require a lot of money. There are no magic fairies working in the print shop either.
Beginning editions have enough content for 1-2 issues and together with the creative crisis come new bills and disappointment in the format. But Moscow city guide feels great. The winter issue contains top interviews and news, all advertising strips have been sold, and the magazine itself has become much thicker.
This week, REPA, an association of real estate professionals, held a JOY contest for various areas in the real estate industry. Our magazine participated in the Corporate Media category.
Together with us, the publication from real estate developer Ingrad and the magazine of Kalinka realty corporation made it to the finals. And... drum roll... we won again. Sorry. Yay.
Dima Portniagin was on the cover of the fall issue. Because of his popularity, half the issue was sold out in the first few weeks. So we had to ration it.
Next week, our winter New Year's Eve issue of MCG is on every rack in the City. On the cover will be an unusual and even scandalous person related to the City. Who?
