A magical weekend in Abu Dhabi.
Whitewill founder, Oleg Torbosov, tells us.
I have a wide smile on my face because it's not just people behind me - it's my team. We build the company together and write regulations, generate hundreds of appeals and make the same hundreds of calls to clients, send tons of documents to banks for mortgages on our favorite new buildings and sign deals. Big ones. Small ones. Different.
We're not good at everything. Sometimes we lose, deals fall through. Some of them didn't work out, weren't as efficient. We have to part ways with some people. But even when it's difficult, we remain a team and, therefore, when we win, we enjoy the victory together. We ring the gong. We have dinner parties. We pack our bags and go on vacation.
This is our third trip together for 2021. In March we flew to sunny Belek, in August to the regatta in Göçek, and in early December to Abu Dhabi. And always we were welcomed by Rixos - keeping the bar high. Yes, and behind every trip was a record.
This time, for the first time, I flew in a day late. Not with the whole team on Thursday, but only on Friday night - I was performing for our friends and partners in Kazan. And the guys came up to me and said: "We missed you. We've been waiting for you." Ah, that feels so damn good.
And then there was the trip to Ferrari Park, the fastest races in the world, the emotions, the adrenaline, the quiet conversations by the pool, the laughter at dinner, the late night games of Bang. Some went to bed early, some stayed up late and had too much to drink as usual. Life.
This time we had teams from all three Whitewill offices on the trip: London, Dubai and Moscow. Many of the guys saw each other live for the first time, although they had already done a number of joint deals. And it is worth a lot - live communication. Especially valuable in the current set of circumstances.
It's not easy to get into the Whitewill team - I'm building a selective closed club of connoisseurs of adequacy and quality communication, we're in the big leagues, but that doesn't mean our doors are closed - there's always a place for strong current brokers in our segment in the ethical and aesthetic world of Whitewill.
