Enjoying the victory
- The world of sports is cruel in that one never has time to savor his victory.
This phrase, said by an athlete, has a place on my values shelf. It reminds me to remember to celebrate and honor my accomplishments.
In April, we broke our internal sales record at Whitewill. To the market mastodons, our several tens of millions in revenue made that month would seem ridiculous. But I'm not competing with them, I'm competing with myself. I realize what my company was yesterday and what it will be tomorrow. That's real growth. It's the one thing I can really influence.
The money for all the April trades has been received. It's time for the team to savor the victory. We're going on vacation to Turkey this week.
The company is paying for vacations, flights and a cool five-star hotel for the weekend for all Whitewill employees involved in the win.
Not only brokers, but also projeccts, marketers, office managers, and mortgage people are flying in. We'll swim, play volleyball, dance and dine by the sea in the evenings.
When I created the company, I dreamed that I could not only give people interesting work and decent income, but also that I could fill their lives with emotions and adventures, to make each person in the team better.
Enjoy the victories.
