Lecture - done

Last week Oleg Torbosov, founder of Whitewill, held a Sunday lecture about the history of Khamovniki and Zamoskvorechye. For the first time, Whitewill invited not employees, but developers and fellow brokers from various real estate agencies to the lecture hall.

Managers and executives from Sminex, Capital group, PIK, MR group, Gazprombank, brokers from Knight Frank, Welhome, Vesco, as well as our regular agents who refer real estate clients to Whitewill came.

At the lecture we looked at many historical maps and photos, where we can see how the medieval Zarechye with gardens, churches and workshops, suffering from the raids of the yoke and river floods, gradually turned first into a merchant Zamoskvorechye with beautiful mansions, gaining a water drainage canal, new bridges and getting rid of the swamps and protective walls of the Zemlyaniy Gorod, and how by now it has become one of the most prestigious areas of the city.

We also plunged into the history of Khamovniki, with all its weaving slobodas, ostozhiye with fragrant hay and flood meadows, which later transformed into factories, manufactories and barracks, preserving to this day, as historical mansions and beautiful temples, and that special soulful atmosphere, for which now so loved by buyers of this area.

At the end of the lecture we sorted out the toponymy of 70 streets and coats of arms of three Moscow districts, and afterwards we discussed deals, the market and shared stories from our brokerage life for a long time. We thank everyone who attended the lecture. In the fall Oleg Torbosov plans to prepare two more topics: about Presnensky and Tversky districts.
