Hill8. Bold house on Prospekt Mira
Oleg Torbosov, founder of Whitewill, tells us.
When I first saw the renderings of this house with its active geometric facets all over the facade and unusual futuristic lobby, I even whistled a bit, thinking: -Wow, how bold is that.
Before you is Hill8, an apartment complex whose name in the city of seven hills hints at the arrival of another - the eighth. And indeed, if you stand at the base of the house and look up from below, it seems as if a whole mountain is growing out of the flat surface of the facade, cube by cube.
Jurassic marble, panoramic Shuko windows with French balconies and a rhythmic array of balcony terraces. On the upper floors, several pentas with truly grown-up view terraces.
We walk through the back door into the main lobby and freeze. The smooth reception desk seems to hang in the air, and above it, an unusual white light fixture bends like a fantastical creature. Behind the back, the entire height of the lobby is a wall of green plants. On the floor, wrapping around the columns and reflected in the mirrored ceiling, lines of white illumination diverge to the elevator halls. Reminiscent of a spaceship.
The author of all this sensual minimalism is the American designer Karim Rashid, who with his interior defied conventions, traditions and formalities. In the lobby, in addition to the design stands a collection of his unusual space furniture.
The spaces on the floors were also done by Karim. Large luminous figures with numbers of apartments on black walls, white geometric lines running on the black floor, wooden panels on the whole height, and near each door soft warm lighting - looks cozy and modern.
The location is dynamic, with the subway a minute directly across the street. In total, this fifteen-storey building has 294 apartments ranging from 36 to 130 meters.
A cozy studio can be had for just under 15,000,000₽, a one-bedroom apartment will cost 21,000,000₽, and two-bedroom family lots with an area of 112 meters will cost around 40,000,000₽. There's still plenty to choose from. This is the kind of bold minimalist-futuristic house that has appeared in Moscow.
